No expectations. Just the doing.

I’ve been thinking about this for some time -a place to write, to jot thoughts, and to share them.  No expectations.  Just the doing. 

Tonight it came to me as I sat.  A country girl’s mind trying to find inner peace in her new home among the train whistles and expressway traffic serenade.  Then the thought bounced in from nowhere, “You did it!  You sat.”  For the first time in months or has it been longer?  All it took was going upstairs to get the cushion and putting my bottom on top of the cushion.   So much thinking first.  Then the simple act of just doing.   And the instant I began, it was done. 

Then the next thought appeared, “Start your blog!  Just do it.  Tonight!”  And I have.  No expectations.  Just the doing.
